Venue and form of the meeting

The conference will take place in the KURSAAL at Dunkerque-Malo-les-bains, which provides rooms and facilities well-adapted to a meeting of this importance, and is close to town centre, thus facilitating movements between  the site and the hotels.  Coffee breaks and lunches will take place at the same site.

At their arrival, participants will receive a bag containing the programm book and a USB stick with communication and poster abstracts, a badge and a welcome gift, as well as tourist documents proposed by the Dunkerque Tourist Office.

A gala evening will be organized at the Villa Blanche in Courdekerque-Village.  Guided tours in groups will present the main treasures of the Dunkirk Port during a boat trip, the fortified city of Bergues and the typical flemish Escquelbecq brewery and the Marais Audomarois biosphere reserve labelled by UNESCO. Participants will have to register and pay for the evening; however, the fees will be lower than the real cost so as to favour the registration of students and young scientists.  The other evenings will be free to participants, for discovering the historical centre of Dunkirk and enjoying the  seaside and local gastronomy.  Altogether, this aims at giving  the participants and accompanying persons a generous picture of the cultural and natural heritage of both the city of Dunkirk and northern France region.
